String of Pearls Plant in Santorini Hanging Ceramic Planter
String of Pearls Plant in Santorini Hanging Ceramic Planter
The Strings of Pearls are fantastic succulent tapestries that fill a wonderful horticultural niche. They are low maintenance plants that will work well indoors (near a brightly lit window) or outdoors in shade.
Light Exposure: Bright, but avoid direct sunlight. Indoors near a window with lots of light, or outdoors under patio cover is ideal.
Watering: Allow plant to completely dry about between waterings. Pull the pot when watering. Water heavily and allow pot to drain completely and then place back into your hanging planter. Typically watering can be done once every two weeks, but once a week may be necessary during the warmer months; particularly if you are growing this outside.
Transplanting: When the plant outgrows it's pot, you can take cuttings off the plant and start new plants. You can also transplant into a larger container. Just be sure to use a good cactus soil mix that drains well.
